SMCB author Norm Levy now has a blog which provides samples of
poems included in his book, Rhymes for Our Times, as well as
some new poems. Norm has been writing light verse lampooning
headlines for decades. Rhymes for Our Times, published by Salt
Marsh Cottage Books, is a collection of these delightfully funny
and irreverent verses. Norm is now actively writing two-liners
which appear on his Twitter page. He now has more than a
thousand "followers."
Norm has appeared on several radio shows recently, most recently
on NPR's "On Point" broadcast. (Norm's segment is about 26
minutes into the show). Norm was also interviewed on Blog Talk
Radio.
Jane Hill's short story, "No Time like the Present," won third
place in Whispering Prairie Press's 2011 literary contest in the
category "Flash Fiction." Jane has published two young adult
novels, Clarendon Island and Only a Ghost of a Chance. Her
third novel, Pirate Treasure, is due out this fall.
Jane's "Charlotte books" are humorous historical fiction set in the
South Carolina Lowcountry in the late 1880s. Charlotte, her
young protagonist, now long dead, is believed to be the first ghost
to have her own website.

Four top crime and thriller authors will be featured at the Savannah Book
Festival on Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Telfair Square--along with
over 40 other writers representing diverse genres. Jeffrey Deaver, Craig
Johnson, Spencer Quinn, and Brad Thor will discuss how they create the
novels that keep us thrilled, chilled, and bone–tired reading late into the
night. These four authors’ books run the gamut from deadly malfeasance
to crime with quirky protagonists and wry humor.

Want to upload your novel to be available for sales on Amazon Kindle? The first attempt can be
a little daunting, but it is really not difficult by following these instructions. These instructions
are intended for a simple novel; manuscripts with graphics and custom formatting may require
a professional.
Appropriate formatting of the Word ms prior to uploading for Kindle is critical for a readable
e-Reader product. Local author CJ Lyons has prepared an excellent video, which explains
many fo the formatting issues.
