Southern author, Eudora Welty. IWN members Norm Levy and Tom Crawford manned a table for the Island Writers' Network, selling the IWN anthologies as well as their own books. Bobbi Hahn, Sansing McPherson, and Jane Hill also attended the Festival.
The IWN participated in the 32nd annual Bluffton Village Festival, also known as "Mayfest," on May 8th.

The 7th Annual Savannah Children’s Book Festival took place on Saturday, November 13th, 2010, in Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia. This annual festival is presented by Live Oak Public Libraries and the City of Savannah each November. This festival is an event to celebrate the joy of reading, the power of the written word, and the magic of storytelling with children’s book authors and illustrators from around the country. The festival also featured arts and crafts, food, a variety of entertainment, an international tent, costumed characters, and more. Local writers participated, selling and signing books and meeting their fans.
On January 17, 2010, USCB hosted Steve Berry, a NY Times best selling author of ten thrillers. Mr. Berry spoke at a noon luncheon, and he presented a Writing Workshop afterwards. Mr. Berry donated the proceeds from these events back to USCB for the preservation fund for its historical buildings.
